WHO WE ARE
Nada Mohsen is an Egyptian architect and visual artist. She got her Bachelor and Masters degrees in Architecture from Ain Shams University. In parallel to her architectural career, she experienced lots of artistic trials in different fields and decided to start an alternative career that is focused on her passion in art, paintings & fashion.
To enhance her artistic skills, she followed her passion in art and studied painting at the faculty of fine arts.
Later, she participated with her paintings in several exhibitions including some at the Cairo Opera House, Dai Gallery, Faculty of Fine Arts. Also, her paintings were featured in a short film named "Painting the Lily".
In 2019, she developed an interest in painting on fabric, she started to brand the name of “Nada Mohsen Arts” through an initiation called "Buy less .. Refashion more", the initiation goal was to paint on old clothes in order to refashion it into new items to lessen fast fashion environmental impact.
In 2020, she launched her first fashion line "Kalasiris Collection" that links art & fashion through using her illustrations as surface patterns.
In 2021, continuing to progressing her fashion career, she took fashion and tailoring diploma certified by City & Guilds.
In 2022, she was selected to instruct a guided project course on Coursera platform to teach Fabric Pattern Design, the guided project name is “How to Create a Seamless Pattern Using Adobe Illustrator”.
Our patterns and designs are inspired by the elements of the Ancient Egyptian Art and overall Egyptian History and Culture portrayed in a contemporary artistic designs that fits nowadays fashion styles and direction.
Our designs are mainly based on the concept of merging art into high quality and unique artistic fashion styles.
We originally hand draw the designs then illustrate and print them on fabric with vibrant color palette.
Our materials and fabrics are locally sourced, our final fashion items are made locally with the hands of talented Egyptian artisans, craftsmen and workshops.

Our products are produced with quality that permits it to be worn for multiple of times with a long life time duration.
We implement slower production rate, small-batch collections, and recyclable materials usage.
We use plastic free and recyclable materials in our packaging to reduce waste and environmental harm.
Water is an integral part of the dyeing process for most textile products.
Sublimation Printing that we use does not use water as a medium to transfer the dye but instead uses heat.
It results in minimum waste, and no dyes get into water systems like normal dyeing processes.
